I know John Elliot and he is no Mike Malloy. I'll stop listening to AAR during this time slot. Bye-bye.

1. The AAR station where I live never aired the Mike Malloy show...

So I never got a chance to hear why he's so popular here.

They run two Jones Network shows, and two very popular local shows along with all of the AAR shows. Evidently, one of those four shows must have bumped Mike Malloy's timeslot..

Sorry I never got to get to know him.

Was there any reason given on why they dropped him?

2. John is certainly no Mike, but he's a good host.

I doubt you'll find another Mike, so if that's what you're looking for, you made the right decision. Just don't listen. The closest I know of to Mike is Randi.

I listen to a lot of pregressive radio, and John is a good host. I prefer Randi, Rant with Scooter on the weekend, Ed Schultz, Lynn Cullen, and Thom Hartmann. They are ALL different, and I like each of them for different reasons.

If want Mike, you're just going to have to wait until he surfaces on another station...andI'm sure he will. There really is only one Mike Malloy.

3. I like Jon and Mike for different reasons!

I'm not going to think of this as Jon trying to take Mike's spot. I'm not going to pit one against the other, in other words! I'm going to try my best to focus upon getting Mike back on the air.

4. I don't know ifwe'llever see Mike on AAR again.

It's a very rare occurance when a Co. fires someone, and then changes their mind. Of my 46 years of working, I've never seen that happen. I do believe Mike will resurface on another network somewhere.

I'm sorry to read so many DUers beating up on Elliott and Flanders. Every broadcaster is different, and liked or disliked for a lot of reasons.

I really believe AAR & Mike will bejust fine.

I'm just happy there is such a radio broadcast as AAR, and I have to stream all of them because there are NONE here in Ga. Yes, the old AAR station still airs Franken, but that's it! The rest of what I hear locally is BS. The only local programs I listen to are Clark Howard who is a consumer advocate, and some guys on the weekends whogive home fix it advice.

Yes, KLSD are great call letters (HeeHee).

I agree with you that Mike and AAR will both be fine (come out of this o.k.), with Mike ending up on another station with, hopefully, a better salary.
