Mistakes Rudy Giuliani made on 9/11 : command post failures
http://www.brooklynrail.org/2006-09/local/wayne-barrett

From an interview with Wayne Barrett, co-author of Grand Illusion: The Untold Story of Rudy Giuliani and 9/11

"he left the command post at the World Trade Center—the command post is just a makeshift, essentially a table set up by the fire department outside a major event—with all the police brass in total violation of his own protocol. If he had left even one of the top police commanders with the fire chiefs, if he had observed even one iota of his own protocol, then the fire chiefs would have known what the police brass knew from the helicopter pilots, which was that the towers were going to collapse. But because he didn’t leave anybody there, because he didn’t insist on a unified command post, but instead split the command post himself, then the breakdown of the radios proved to be very much more deadly because you couldn’t have all communication."

"....we have major, shocking revelations about the relationship between the Giuliani Administration and Motorola. There is such travesty in the fact that firefighters wound up with the same radios in their hands that malfunctioned at the ’93 bombing."

1. The best worst decision was pre-9/11
He elected to put the city's primary command post at the WTC, already a target once.
Millions were spent on a command showpiece, which immediately became unusable at the time that it was most needed.

A sensible alternative would've been placing it in a non-descript warehouse.

4. I actually wonder ......
.... should *any* command center be in a building? Can't they now be in a single or series of large campers, truck traiers, or busses? Drive 'em to a safe place, hook up as required (to infrastructure or to each other) and do what needs doing.

6. I can answer that ...
Yes, there are now mobile command units. I'm not at liberty to divulge details.

5. Rudy isn't dumb. There was a reason for putting it at the WTC.

Is Rudy psychic? I don't think so but I'd bet he "knew" (if not then, certainly there came a time prior to 9/11) the WTC was going to be the scene of a U.S. False Flag, state-sponsored terror attack.

3. Bernie Kerik was Rudy's right hand man
and was also very involved in the problems that caused many of the rescuers to lose communications.
