WE NEED TO BLOCK ABC FROM OUR TVS.
That's the only thing that will get their attention, when we quit watching ANYTHING on ABC. The people have the power. We just need to start exercising it.
I heard this will be uninterrupted. Who is financing this?

1. The Saudi Royals perhaps?
or maybe the 9 billion taxpayer dollars that can't be accounted for in Iraq? The VRWC is very well funded. If you own the media, you control the agenda. It's all too sad.

2. that wouldn't be hard to do.........
...I seldom watch anything on ABC anyway!!

I only watch 1 show per week, Desperate Housewives.

They've had terrible programming going back about 4 or 5 years!!

3. God, this is so hard... my Mother just loved "Huntley & Brinkley"

report on the Peacock Station (NBC), but quickly converted to Peter Jennings when he took over the ABC broadcast. So, while, I would see Cronkite as well on occasion, ABC became a strong tradition for news in my home growing up-- at least by the time I was old enough to notice. I then became an appreciative regular viewer of Koppel on Nightline. Now, when Bush* and their fascist policies took over, those programs, like the rest of MSM news suffered credibiity lapses, but still had moments of strength and honor. Even today, Brian Ross of ABC (lately of breaking the Pakistan "peace treaty" with Osama story) is the real deal--a true investigative reporter.

But, given that network news on all three stations is now a byproduct of their entertainment divisions, one can no longer separate the two. The only show I'm likely to miss is "LOST" (heaven knows why, but I became hooked), but as of the airing of this tripe on Sunday, ABC will be deleted from my channels. This is probably more painful for the local affiliates and their news broadcasts if many do likewise, but there has to be a land in the sand, sometime... Boycotting Disney is quite easy for my household. ABC is slightly more difficult because there are hard working honorable people--both at the network and local affiliate that are likely to be hurt. I am sorry for them... very sorry. But, I don't think we have a choice.

As John Aravosis (AmericaBlog) so succinctly said today... "you'll have to excuse me... I have to go kill a mouse.." (!)

5. I told my local affiliate's GM that I was going to use my remote to
block them from entering my home just like I've done with FUX. Then I blocked them.

6. I don't think we watch ABC at all now
It seems like whenever there's a significant boycott it's always against something we don't do anyway. Hard to make a contribution that way. :) We (as a couple) watch various sports on cable or local channels, C-Span, Sunday morning talking heads, but mostly the ones on NBC, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report and the Sci-fi channel. That's the whole round-up. Not a thing on ABC.
