Is it aimed at Hillary?
Apologies if already posted, my light bulb just went on several hours ago.

I am wondering whether Mickey ABC is after Hillary Clinton, to embarrass her through her spouse in airing that fiction.

1. Its an interesting question:
to what extent is the blame-Clinton-for-everything crap designed to bring down Hillary?

My guess is not that much, rather I think its largely about shifting blame from Bush, and Bill Clinton makes a great scapegoat after the Lewinsky affair.

2. Yeah, that is a good point.
Interesting.

It reminds voters that her husband was the one who let this happen. All because he was off screwing the intern. For shame! Obviously we don't need those type of people in any elected office in this land! Not again!!

Hmmmm.....

3. I don't know one way or the other, but if that's the motivation, I wish
some in this country would get over its bias against women generally and successful, intelligent, capable women in politics particularly.

Disney aside, I didn't think much of ABC's news coverage of the 2004 primary season. Rev. Sharpton, Ambassador Mosely-Braun, and Dennis Kucinich were all three dismissed by ABC's Ted Koppel, on the air, for not being "serious" candidates.

Perhaps it was Koppel's personal bias, or perhaps it reflected the network's pervasive bias, but either way I was appalled by that kind of dismissive, disrespectful, crappy reporting/analysis.

The voters decide who's serious, and if the media are all slanted to the right, the message gets blurred or blocked.

What I like about a lot of DUers' comments and actions against ABC/Disney/Scholastic is that it brings pressure to bear on ABC et al to play fair. This is now a pretty big story and is on the lips of a lot of folks all over the place, including corporate boardrooms.
