Nov '06 elections coming up and all at once we get the following (not a complete list - fellow DUer's can add other coincidences):

- Armitage As Plame Leaker
- New Osama 9/11 Planning Tape
- Disney's/ABC's fictionalized retelling of 9/11 blaming Clinton
- Chimp's New Round of Speeches
- Terror expert warns NYC still a target
- Taliban resergence in Afghanistan
- Mass evacuation drill in Chicago

All of this just smacks of choreographed propaganda to continue to scare the American people. Is * just lucky that all this is happening now or is this Rove at his best?

As an afterthought I'm thinking that on Aug 6th just past - we here at DU should have started a PDB vigil commemorating *'s receipt of the now famous PDB where * was warned that Bin Ladin Determined To Stike The U.S. We could have shown just how much time there was between Aug 6th and 9/11 and stressed all that could have been done in that time by *CO to prevent 9/11.

your list. It's really all business as usual, although you could argue that the timing of any or all of these events is significant.

By the way, I missed the story about the mass evacuation drill in Chicago. How did it go?

For what it's worth, most or all big cities are planning such things, mostly in the aftermath of Katrina, it seems. Here in Kansas City there was a story in the KC Star about just such a thing recently, noting that we're not in danger from hurricanes, and people can evacuate in all directions because we're not bounded by an ocean or lake on one side.
