How to Google Bomb "The Path to 9/11"
On my blog devoted to Google bombing the right's media apparatus < http://www.googlebombproject.blogspot.com/ >, I created a
Google bomb of the fraudulent docudrama "The Path to 9/11." I put informative sites that give fair and thorough critiques of the film's misinformation and the controversy surrounding this film. The list is far from exhaustive (some thoughtful and informative articles and posts have been written since I did the g-bomb on Wednesday). If you want to participate, here is the link: http://googlebombproject.blogspot.com/2006/09/google-bomb-path-to-911.html

1. Would it work if one doesn't have a blog, but only adds it to a DU journal
like this?

3. Yes
Yes, it will work. Often bulletin boards and newsgroups aren't as effective as other established sites but yes it will work.

5. Groovy. Done.
It's amazing that even with their numbers being sucked rapidly down the circular orifice, they still think they can get away with blatant wool-pulling like this 'fakudrama.'

amazedly,
Bright

6. You have to format it per the HTML lookup table. Then, you'll get this:

4. Didn't you hear?

According to the right-wing media we've been planning this for days. It's really interesting how: 1.Some republican says we're going to do something 2. everyone decides to do it 24 hours later.

Are we that impressionable? agent provocateurs?(this guy's had 65 posts since 2001? I wonder if they are all instructions on how to make us look ineffectual and childish) are we that starved for good ideas?

Actually, I want to google bomb the people who think google bombing does anything useful. I'll google bomb them straight to hell!

8. Thank you! This is the WORST idea.
It's childish and completely without merit. And, it makes us look like complete fools. I can not believe some people are actually considering playing into their hands like this!

10. Instead of casting aspersions on him, based on a low post count...
...why don't you read his posts or go to his blog, http://www.scoobiedavis.blogspot.com. This is accessible via the link he posted above.

On the other hand, if 65 posts should subject a DUer to the your brand of suspicion ("I wonder if they are all instructions on how to make us look ineffectual and childish"), what are we to think of someone with only 95 posts?

12. maybe i posted hastily
i think it's a terrible idea and for some reason for the last day or two there's another person advocating for it or helping to implement this thing we've apparently been cast to do. You're right I shouldn't cast aspersions on people without any proof, i just was on two threads and saw the same person giving instructions on how to commmit(?) a google bomb and leaped to a hasty conclusion.

I stick to my other points.

13. The idea was actually introduced at DU first.
Whether or not you agree with google bombing, the right wing didn't give DU the idea. Malkin, Hume, et al., got wind of it from this thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=106&topic_id=28830

7. DU had a post of google bombing that was picked up by Fox News
Here is the article: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x2076301

I just did this post because I wanted to give DUers an easy and practical way to be a part of the g-bomb. If other DUers and bloggers have other informative sites that they're linking to the phrase "The Path to 9/11," that's fine too because in the end, those Americans who watch the docudrama on Sunday and Monday who google "The Path to 9/11" wil find that most of the top tens sites for such a search will inform them about the misinformation in the film.

9. I'm glad I don't know what a google bomb is
It doesn't sound like something I'd want to get involved in.
