We have to bite the bullet if ABC airs propaganda-ridden version of
"Path to 9/11"

That means NO

"Boston Legal"

"Grey's Anatomy"

"Desperate Housewives"

Sports on ABC

News on ABC

NO Family Channel

NO Disneyland or Disney World

No Disney brand products

No Disney Movies

No Touchstone movies or TV shows

...Just thank God that Comedy Central is not owned by Disney!

The far right sniffles and the media moguls jump. We can tank ABC and Disney stock. We have the power. We just need the will.

4. But calling their advertisers will.
When you tell them you will be supporting their COMPETITION due to their ads on ABC, it will have an impact!

I've had several advertisers tell me they are getting swamped with calls complaining about ads on ABC - keep calling them, they are paying attention, we can get this propaganda piece pulled!

9. Of course, but you can watch the programming all you want. It won't make
a bit of difference.

15. I'm not going to watch the programming. I really like "Desperate
Housewives" but I'm prepared to give it up if ABC airs this tripe.

I have standards that I will not compromise, watch if you want to, but I don't intend to.

19. I love it, Boston Legal, Grey's Anatomy, ESPN (Disney owned station), too
But as God is my witness, I will cut them off and use that time to contact sponsors and boycott sponsors of any ABC, Family Channel, Disney, etc. show.

ABC is using public airways and the public's good faith to manipulate and spread lies.

The leadership of these two companies have to be incompetent idiots of the ilk of Bush himself. What were they thinking?????

Thanks for the tip. We have to stop this cold and show the RWers that they can't rewrite history.

10. Trust me. Silencing the buzz about a show kills more than Nielsen
If we cut ABC and all Disney media and products out of our cultural discussions (if someone mentions what happened on "Lost," just say, "I don't watch ABC anymore since they made the corporate decision to focus on propaganda rather than news and entertainment."

What makes a show popular is that it becomes part of the cultural landscape. If people simply stop watching then it becomes invisible.

Do you think that those ass-tight RWers watch these shows? No, we do! We make ABC successful so we can tank them.

What Disney is doing is very risky. The blow back can be devastating for them if we stand firm.

12. Other than water-cooler conversation, ABC has no way of knowing whether
you're watching their shows or not. Hopefully, you know a Nielsen person.

14. No, what makes a show popular is becoming part of the culture
Nielsen doesn't play a role in that. Yes, it helps if lots of people watch the show at its regular time, but today with Tivo and DVRs, buzz becomes even more important.

I would hate to give upo BL, DHW, G's A, etc., but will and will use that time to solicit advertisers to pull their ads from all ABC and Disney-related networks.

29. You crack me up.
Actually, if the COPE bill passes without net neutrality, I am getting rid of Cox (my cable company) and going with a dish network NOT owned by Murdock.

I will also consider going with a landline to the Internet that is not connected to a telecom company. I'll be really pissed.

13. Here's what I just sent to Disney:
Gentlepeople,

PLEASE do the right thing. Not the "right" thing (as in pandering to the so-called "right" wing of American politics. PLEASE don't slander or libel the Clinton administration! "The Path to 9/11" is filled with lies, distortions, misrepresentations, and deceptions. PLEASE don't put it on the air! I don't want to feel compelled to stop watching ABC, or joining the growing boycott of ABC sponsors. But if this despicable miscarriage of truth and justice is allowed to air, I'm going to have to do both those things.

PLEASE pull this awful program!!!

Thank you.

I have asked Comcast Cable to eliminate ABC from my channels package and for that to reflect in my billing. And I told them why.

What we CAN do is cut off all $$$$ to ABC and Disney and hit 'em where it hurts. Money is the only thing these assclowns respond to.

30. But it was Disney's decision so you need to eliminate ALL Disney-
related channels, such as ESPN, Family Network, Disney, etc.

The ghost production company's address (the production company for "Path to 9/11") is a Disney address in Burbank and the only principle noted is a former executive secretary for the CEO of Disney!)

No Disneyland or Disneyworld.

22. It's SO easy to block channels from the TV. I've done it with CNN
and Faux. And I can truly say, out of sight, out of mind. You don't even think about the programs you are 'missing.' It's perfect.

28. I guess I am a degenerate 'cause I love BL, DHW, G's A, etc.
But I swear that if all of us stopped watching ABC and all Disney-owned networks, movies, etc. (that includes ESPN and the Family Network by the way) and used that time to contact sponsors and tell them we were boycotting their products if they didn't pull their ads from those stations, the Disney dynasty would crumble.

We have the power. We just have to use it.

all the DUers that have the integrity to boycott Disney/ABC and their affiliates as a matter of principal. I think using the Nielson box as an excuse to excuse this atrocity is a sham. Thanks to you all that stand tall and strong!

32. But what about other Disney owned stations?
This was Disney's doing. The ghost production company that produced "Path to 9/11" has a Disney Burbank address and the only principle named is a former (maybe still) executive secretary to Disney's CEO.

Disney owns such channels as ESPN and the Family Network.

Also need to boycott Disney and Disney related movies (Disney,Pixar, Touchstone) and Disney theme parks, including Disneyland and Disneyworld.
