2. I bet it all shows and it's worse than we thought.
The RWers who put this together knew what they were doing and they aren't going to let a little bad publicity get in their was or creating their new reality.

13. Here's my problem with that...
Edited on Fri Sep-08-06 11:06 PM by LostInAnomie
... the first part is a complete hit piece on Clinton, according to Joan Walsh from salon.com. They portray Clinton as a buffoon, incompetent, and ineffectual. They intersperse made up failures with Lewinsky clips. And they make Sandy Berger and Madeline Albright look like fools.

The second half is *'s half. They forget to show the seven minutes where he sits glass-eyed. Sometime during the second half * gets to break in and give a propaganda speech where he is sure to demagogue 9/11 and attack Democrats. Following that they will return to PT9/11 and probably pick up from *'s rubble scene.

This movie will be nothing but a RW puff piece. They are trying to build a consensus among the ignorant that Clinton enabled OBL and that * was the hero of 9/11. ABC knows what they are doing.

14. We will have to wait and see BUT
I heard the sole writer (forget his name) of this 'thing' say today that Bush & Clinton look bad. Of course Bill had 8yrs to look bad while Bush had months.

17. Yeah, I'm sure he makes * look horrible.
He's a good friend of pill-poppin' Limpballs. His idea of making Bush* look bad is probably not giving his character a big enough cod piece when he's standing on the the rubble of his fuck up.

If there was so much material to make Clinton look bad with he shouldn't have had to make up shit out of whole cloth.

The point of the movie should not be to make anyone look bad. It should be to give a factual retelling without spinning it to someone's advantage.

19. Here's what Rush said about the writer...
Edited on Fri Sep-08-06 11:46 PM by LostInAnomie
... "A friend of mine out in California has produced and filmed — I think it’s a two-part mini-series on 9/11 that ABC is going to run in prime-time over two nights, close to or on 9/11. It’s sort of surprising that ABC’s picked it up, to me. I’ve had a lot of people tell me about it, my friends told me about it…And from what I have been told, the film really zeros in on the shortcomings of the Clinton administration in doing anything about militant Islamofascism or terrorism during its administration. It cites failures of Bill Clinton and Madeleine Albright and Sandy Burglar."

*on edit* The link also has a lot of information about how far Right the writer is, and what he has said in the past.

27. I've read enough about the writer, director,
TFI, YWAM, etc. to make the conclusion that this is a RW hit piece. If you need more info though here's a link to my thread about Salon's review of the movie: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=2088874&mesg_id=2088874

25. Never heard of him b4.
The film is a controversial docudrama being aired by ABC/Walt Disney but was initiated by a Christian activist organization Youth With A Mission (YWAM), through their auxiliary - The Film Institute (TFI). The project has been criticized as having a political agenda and for fictionalizing the lead-up to 9/11 in order to redirect blame to the Clinton administration. <4>

Within 6 months of the POS flick airing, ABC News will no longer exist.

Mickey and Goofy will be toast.

And I'll be asking you how you want your bird served..

(p.s. Let's just agree to disagree! )

8. I said "other"
They'll show it, claim they've left tons of controversial footage on the cutting room floor, claim they bent over backwards to appease all the unpatriotic liberals in America, it will still be a biased piece of crap, and large portions of the viewing audience (particularly those who believe soap operas and wrestling are real) will be convinced that everything thing they watched was the gospel truth.

11. in the nick of time, all the great singing groups will have a
huge concert on NBC at the same time. The money they raise will go to all the victims of 911, Katrina, and war vets. Everyone in America will watch the 911-Aid concert instead of some crap on abc.
