Poll question: In light of this ABC/Disney/RNC/Bushie attack on 9/11 historical truth
Edited on Sat Sep-09-06 11:28 AM by Totally Committed
and the Clinton legacy, and the seeming necessity to write both him and Hillary as the villains of everything that has happened up to this moment in time, does anyone really STILL think Hillary could run for President without unfounded lies and scandal being the ONLY campaign issue?

We couldn't stop them from airing a miniseries made up of lies on a major network channel on the anniversay of arguably the worst day in American history. Are we so dumb as to think this isn't just the beginning -- the warning salvo -- letting us know that the Clintons are the prime political targets of this Party, and that we run the risk of having a scandal-a-palooza of a campaign that will rouse the Republican base and elect yet another Republican adminiatration in '08 if we nominate and run Hillary?

We seem to need to get real, people. Have the Clintons have become the "red flag" being waved in front of the RNC Bulls????

Poll Question: Should this ABC/Disney RW Liefest be seen as a really bad sign for nominating/running Hillary in '08?

Please explain your answer?

1. I really like Hillary
but not as our 08 nominee. Your logic is clear and spot on. Yes, this ought to be the final warning to those who support her in an 08 bid for the presidency.

2. I am NOT a fan of Hillary, feeling she is (1)unelectable, and
(2) really unelectable. This whole business has illustrated to me just how right I was, and has doubled my resolve to warn against an '08 candidacy for her. We cannot afford it.

3. But who cares right now?
Shouldn't we be focused on the elections in November 2006? And refuting the lies in the docu-crapo-mentary?

4. This IS about the '06 elections!
This gambit shows how they can use the Clintons even to try and sway the '06 elections!

You don't thhink this is just for fun.... this is about re-stigmatizing the Democratic Party for this next round of elections. My point was we could not stop them, so it doesn't look good for us.

The Clintons have simply become a liability.

5. Imho
We should focus on refuting any effort to paint democrats as being weak on the WOT. That includes the Clintons.

6. I see that as a losing cause... and would HATE to have the
entire campaign be about defending the Clintons instead of electing a Democratic President!

7. But you can't elect a president for 2 years yet!
Edited on Sat Sep-09-06 12:15 PM by Jim4Wes
You are ignoring the fact that the Clinton policies on defense WOT etc are not all that different from what top democrats push now. This country has an offical report on 9/11 that was approved by both parties and is the defacto document that is being used in name only by the writer/producer of this slanderous show and it must be refuted, they must be held to account via protests, boycotts etc.

Let them market it sell it show it in theaters, but I will make them pay for using their broadcast license to influence the election.

Democrats can't distance themselves from the Clintons. He still speaks for a majority of us.

edited for spelling only.

8. We can't elect a President, period, if we are continually forced
to defend ourselves against the RNC Clinton onslaught.

Do you think that if the other side got more than half of Americans to believe that 9/11 and Iraq were connected, that they found WMD in Iraq, that Sadddam Hussein and Al Quaeda were in cahoots, and that Saddam Hussein actually had something to do with 9/11, they CAN'T use this film to completely discredit our side before the '06 elections?????

And, for the last time, who is the focus of this film? Bill Clinton.

9. The film is billed as being based on the 9/11 Commision
report. That is my main gripe with it.

I didn't say they can't DO anything. They certainly can do all kinds of shit if we let them.

Do you think Clinton did not take terrorism and Al Qaeda seriously enough before 9/11? Or was it the media nad Republicans? This is a major issue that will directly affect the elections in 2 months.

I agree on this directly affectin the elections in 2 months... I even believe it was designed to do just that. I think Clinton did everything possible to protect this country before handing the reins over to Bush, who was in power on 9/11.

What I am saying is we continue to saddle ourselves with Billary after this at wour own risk. Hillary is more of a liability after this miniseries is successfully shown, because then they will know, they cn do anything, and we can't effect the outcome. I don't want the '08 elections to be about Bill's b-j, Bill's legacy, or Hillary's whatever... and they'll have something to use against her. Their hate for these two people is irrational, and we run her at our risk is my POV.

11. Well,
its just not the time to fight Hillary in the primaries. I WILL join you when that time has come becuase you know I agree with you on that.

In the meantime, I must lend a voice to stop re-writes of history. After the documentary is shown, the voices must be louder not quieter. Cya.

Agreed.

But, I'm just not sure it will do any good.

We need to find a way around what seems to be a system rigged AGAINST US and THEM. They are being used to drive our agenda, which always ends up being about something other than the issues. Thaht was my point. We need to find a way to fight the Republicans on this.
