Fair is fair. Demand equal time from ABC. They are giving the repukes
five hours of commercial free air time. They have to give the Dems the same time as well.

Let's start with "F-9/11" - that should take what, two hours at most? Then maybe "Bush's Brain" and ???

Suggestions?

Start a petition? Get Michael Moore fired up? I KNOW he'd be more than happy to let them show F-9/11 free of charge.

16. If we elect Populist Democrats ... those that believe in a Middle Class
They will, in turn, regulate the mega-corporations so we don't set ourselves up for a full blown Depression that will make the 1930s Soup Lines look like a "walk in the park."

The ultra-wealthy robber barons want a dumbed down populace with ONE party rule. That one party is The Republicans.

However, We The People can even overcome Diebold trickery if we come out in LARGE numbers. They can't CHEAT landslides.

WE THE PEOPLE have the power to elect representatives that value "The People" more than "The Corporations." Yes, we must do this ... for the sake of ourselves and our children (and our children's children). ;)

8. Agreed.
And even if they did "owe" us something, who'd force them to play fair?

4. The overnight host on KGO radio said this:
If this film turns out to be an attack on the Clinton Administration, as we're been told, the DNC should BUY 30 minutes of Prime Time air time on one of the networks to point out the falacies and outright lies. It would be money well spent.

He also mentioned another possibility. IF we find out that ABC movie wasfunded by a RW org. THAT $40 million must be reported to the FEC as a Pub contribution!!!!

6. They should not have their Propaganda docudrama enveloping Dear Leader's
partisan speech! They should have this trash aired WITHOUT ANYTHING sandwiched within that could be construed to be a "Vote Republican" campaign commercial. :grr:

7. The NY Times
reviewer claims it portrays the bush regime similar to Clinton. I'm not sure that's a plus, but at the very least I'm not thinking that will be an endorsement.

Still, I've yet to see it, so I don't really know.

Frankly, some of this hand wringing is beginning to resemble the Southern Baptist howls over Dogma.

Let it go till it's aired and you've actually seen what they throw up there.

15. The problem is factual inaccuracies
"By ABC’s own standard, ABC has gotten it terribly
wrong. The content of this drama is factually and incontrovertibly inaccurate and ABC has a duty to fully correct all errors or pull the drama entirely. It is unconscionable to mislead the American public about one of the most horrendous tragedies our country has ever known."

Letter from Bill Clinton's attorney, Bruce Lindsey, to ABC chief Bob Iger protesting the network's decision to air the 9/11 docudrama, "The
Path to 9/11."

And "letting it go" would be something I would be willing to do if half the country weren't a bunch of bushbots. It is very purposefully skewed.

I used to troll a lot at freeperland. The subject matter of one of my reasonable attempts to have a discussion was Disney. During the course of the exchange, I was informed that monied "conservatives" were already investing in "entertainment" vehicles and were planning to dominate the airwaves. Well, I just couldn't believe it.

Then, I watched as Lowry Mays (Texas Aggie and Bush buddie) took Clear Channel to new heights of media ownership and dominance since 2000. And I watched as Clear Channel stations sponsored "patriot rallys" at which bulldozers were brought in to crush Dixie Chicks CDs.

And now, I watch the utter cynicism of the neocon movement as they have somehow manipulated creative, gay employee-loving, gay employee-insuring Disney to release the inaccurate "Path" timed perfectly before the election to induce fear and garner support for warmongering among the American people and pathetically attempt to deflect blame for all of their utter incompetencies and failures to Bill Clinton.

Hand-wringing? I think not.

13. ABC gave only the RWers advance screenings. What was fair about that?

They obviously knew long ago they were into shady territory. They have no regard for 'fairness' of any sort. I hope the 'Maybe See' network gets burned over this bigtime.
