Condi just took a good punch from Chris Wallace
I didn't catch all of it, I assume she was saying something about fighting them there so we don't have to fight them there, but my ears really perked up when Wallace asked her, "Almost all of the violence in Iraq is sectarian violence between Sunni and Shiite, what evidence do you have that they want to come after the United States?" Condi replies, "Well, it was an Al Queda operative, Abu Musab Al-Zarquawi who's idea it was the set off the sectarian violence." CW - "But he's dead"

Later on CW asks, "Why didn't we finish the job in Afghanistan?" Condi says, "It was not possible to quote-unquote "finish the job" Whoa! What the hell does that mean?!?! CW is really giving her the business.

1. Wallace may be finding himself at last after years of kowtowing to
FOX News standards.

I'm glad a lightbulb is going on over his head, although DU posts asked the same kinds of questions some years ago.

As for Rice, she's as full of shit as a Christmas turkey. I can barely stand to listen to her. I've described her appearance before the 9/11 commission as her signature deceit, and haven't changed my mind, although she can't appear before a microphone without lying through her teeth.

Chevron Condi. Doing the boss' bidding in the war on terror.

2. That's why I was barely listening at first
she is a walking talking-point. She can't think on her feet. She counts on the interviewer letting her talking points stand and if they go after her at all, it exposes how grossly over-matched she is in her job. Someone said just today in regard to the Hezbollah-Israel conflict, that she is not welcome in the Mid-East. No one respects her and no one wants her around, and that person was a republican, although I can't remember right now exactly who it was.

3. I'm not surprised. By all accounts she added absolutely nothing to

the peace process, including public declarations of U.S. opposition to a cease-fire.

A terrible excuse for a public servant.
