Thank you for your comments today, the fifth anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. Thank you for you honesty, your dedication and your fearlessness. You have shown us what it looks like to defeat those who would terrorize us into submission and for that I say thank you and more importantly, I say I am not afraid.

4. I've been hanging out here

for a long while now, just not too much to add to the discussion, I felt. Turns out I've been wrong. We all have something to say and it's time we say it.

Don't get me wrong, I've not been silent completely (ask my co-workers, to whom I'm the crazy librul...not hard to be here in SLC!) I guess what I'm saying is that I'm searching for ways to take my talk into action. The one I'm feeling today (probably as a reaction to the overbearing anniversary of 9/11) is that I'm damn tired of everyone walking around in this country being afraid. After all, isn't that the point, we're supposed to be at war against terror, right? Well, the funny thing is that the administrations tactic for lining us up behind their stupid wars and ideas is to frighten us into submission. Well, fuck it, I'm declaring this war over. I am not afraid. I'm not afraid of the so-called "terrorists." I'm not afraid of the president, or his gang of Roving idiots. I'm not afraid. Period.
