What will * do to Voinovich now?
George Voinovich, Republican Senator from Ohio, is a member of the Senate Homeland Security & Government Affairs Committee. In his opening statement at this morning's hearing Voinovich actually called for a

"Temporary Tax Increase

to pay for all these things that we are trying to do."

I could not find this in print yet but I feel this is big news unless * beats him over the head so badly that Voinovich backs down again as he did with the appointment of John Bolton.

This was a great moment this morning that Voinovich actually has come up with something sensible and that is needed to pay for the BushWar, to get us out of debt and to pay for Homeland Security, 9-11 and Katrina.

1. Very important.. it's like bringing up the point
of "actually PAYING" for the war, NOW.. Hmmm.. Forcing a debate about paying for this atrocity. Very similar to Rangel bringing up the draft, although it wouldn't pass, they'd be forced to argue it.

2. And he is not even up for reelection this year
What has gotten into him? Maybe he is starting to see where this is all headed.

3. Don't trust Voinovich ... he's like a prairie dog ... sticks his head out
of the Republican hidey-hole to sniff the "liberal air", but then scurries back home when he is spooked ...

4. I have great respect for Voinovich
He's a smart guy. But you're right about him being scared.

6. He has always been a fiscal conservative
I disagree with him, but don't gave the gut hatred of him that I have of bush.
