We are not powerless,
in fact, we the people hold the power. Instead of waiting to see what gets thrown our way and everybody scrambling to figure out what we can do to stop them, we just need to stand together and take charge. Lets play in the offense instead of defense for a change. We can spread the word even without the media's help for now. None of these corporations can survive without our support. Yet we still think we are the ones that are powerless when as a whole we hold the key to all the power. Our hardest task is staying the course. We fall off to quickly and go back to familiar territory. If we stopped patronizing companies that are hurting our country, they would lose their power and would not be able to hurt us any longer. It wouldn't even take long to break them down. We talk about boycotting but we never follow through. What we need is a support site to report to, keeping track of the daily progress. We need to get other people involved. We need to stay focused. Our country depends on this. We need to stand together and brainstorm together to make us unstoppable. Could you just imagine if we had reached just 10% of the people to help us. We would make such an impact.

So what if we don't shop at certain stores, watch certain tv stations, listen to certain radio stations. We need them alot less than they need us. It's all a numbers game and that is what they have on their side along with big corporations throwing money their way and the media to get their lies out. But we know most of the media is useless to us. We know how they manipulate the truth. We don't allow them to affect our way of thinking. So why should we even get hung up on them. They are who they are. And if we get the word out ourselves with just reaching a few people at a time, the numbers will multiply enough that the American people will gain their power back. Then we can see how these big powerful corporations react.
The hardest thing we have to do is STAY THE COURSE.
We need to remember, the majority of the people in this country are not happy with the way this administration has handled any of the issues. If you go back to the 2004 election, 1/2 of the people at that time voted Democrat. And that was then. Since then, we know the people that voted democrat would not vote republican. But what about the people who voted republican, how many people would now consider switching over? The administration may have the corporations and the media backing them up, but we have a greater power, we have the people. And we also have Keith Olbermann!!

1. We, like all peoples, have the power of the general strike
But, Americans often do not even know what that term means much less have the gumption to go through with it.

I fully endorse the idea of a week to month general strike in this country. It would bring this growth economy to its knees and force the corporations to allow We The People to the bargaining table.

But until we do something radical like a general strike, then yes, we are effectively powerless because the "new" boss will be just like the old boss. Our system is too corrupt and self-perpetuating to be fixed by normal means.

But that is my opinion. I sure hope that this country proves me wrong.

2. I tell ya, that's what I hate the phrase "truth to power."
It legitimizes the opposition by agreeing that they have power, and makes power an unacceptable, unlikely, or undesireable thing to have.

The other side is scared by the power we have. All we have to do is harness it.
