In the realm of Emperor Bush, there is no such thing as a "remarkable coincidence." NO, my friends...this embassy attack was foiled as the DIRECT result of Lord Bush's round-the-clock protection of his subjects. Yesterday he told Matt Lauer that he would protect the 'murcan people, and guess what, bee-yotch? He just DID! BOO-YAH! How you like Bush NOW?

DAMASCUS, Syria (UPI) -- The U.S. Embassy in Damascus was attacked by at least four gunmen Tuesday, but no American diplomats or members of their families were hurt.

The act of terrorism reflecting mounting anti-U.S. sentiment in Syria was foiled by anti-terrorism squads guarding the embassy in the upscale area of Rawdah, near the the presidential palace.

Syrian Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Bassam Abdel Majid said "the terrorist attack which targeted the U.S. embassy in Damascus this morning was aborted and failed to achieve the objectives of the criminal parties standing behind it."

The minister who did not identify any suspected party said primary investigation indicated that two cars used by the attackers were stolen vehicles.

4. That's a real book...Amazon used to have some pretty funny reviews.

I haven't checked recently. I know that on a regular basis they scrub the "My Pet Goat" reviews...on this book, maybe they're not so quick.
