From Iraq, Michael Ware of Time Magazine was on CNN last night, he told Wolf that Bush's best allies in Iraq right now are the Saddam Hussein Baathists we removed from power...Why?

Because they are actually moderates and Sunnis. All the Shia we helped put in power are handing the country over to Iran, and are happy to have a religious government.

2. Sounds familiar?
Didn't some people say that would happen BEFORE we invaded?

5. Wouldn't it be just freaky if this goes a full circle? Put Saddam back in?

3. Talk about strange bedfellows...
but it makes perfect sense.

We need allies in the region that are secular and progressive...but DUHbya has alienated the whole Middle East and most of the Near East, sucular and sectarian, progressive and reactionary.

Heckuva job, George.

4. But...but...but...I thought junior told us "mission accomplished."
How can there be such trouble in Iraq if "major combat operations have ended"?

Do you mean that someone in government lied to us??

There goes my faith in humanity.
