6. I'm glad I never saw Master P, then!

If I get what you mean by "sauve," that's precisely what was missing from Tucker's performance. I could have tolerated him barely doing the steps if he'd at least tried to make a bit of a physical commitment--his mind seemed to be somewhere else completely. Even when he was sitting in the chair, he barely looked at his partner as she dancing around him. He looked more like a "spotter" for a gymnast. And speaking of athletes, everyone was suprised by how well Jerry Rice did, but I wasn't--I said that all he had to do was take it as seriously as any other challenge he's had to meet as a pro athlete.

5. LOL, Tucker says key to dancing is to not think, it's a physical
activity. Well, he's got the not thinking part down...didn't help him though.

8. Enjoyed both of them......
Takes guts to dance in public on camera. Kudos to both of them. They were pretty sad when they started taking lessons. Those girls had their work cut out for themselves and did a good job. Jerry Springer was soooo nervous. I hope they both make it a few more rounds so we can see if they improve anymore. Very entertaining imho.

10. Was Tucker expecting a kiss at that one point?
or is that some version of the white man's overbite that I don't know about.

I REALLY need to start going to meetings again.

he's actually good-looking these days. Kind of a hottie now that he's ditched the bowtie.

24. I've seen Tucker in two different places wearing a blue and....
white window check shirt with a tan Glen plaid sports coat! It hurt my eyes! Doesn't his wife, at least, have some color or fashion sense! Really, it was hurtful to see! Did you see it, as well?

16. I give them muey credit for even trying
It is easy to memorize where your feet are supposed to be. It gets a bit harder when you have to coordinate your feet's locations with the strict timing of music. It gets harder still when you stop to think of how you look and can't let go of your inner geek, and self-consiousness sets in to overcome you. It becomes supremely difficult when you do it in front of an audience. I can't imagine how hard it is to do it on national teevee.

I'm married to a professional dancer. I have danced as an amateur. What you saw from both of them is a shitload more accomplished than most people could accomplish in six months of trying.

Yeah, Tucker looked like a geek. He affected my sensibilities as much as he did yours.

But I give him, and Springer, and anyone else who decides to do this a lot of credit.

Good point, especially far as Jerry is concerned. His partner took quite a gamble teaching a complete amateur to toss her around like that--no doubt she had to work overtime on Jerry's confidence. But it all would have been for naught if Jerry hadn't wanted to do his best. That's why he survived the first round and Tucker didn't--the audience appreciated the fact that he didn't think he was too important to give a damn.

what it's really all about. I'm sure neither of them expects to win. They were both really good sports.

21. I'm sorry, but Tucker
does dance like a white boy. I mean, I KNOW he's white and all but the boy just has NO rhythm. I gotta give it to him, though, it looks like he was having a great time and that really is what dancing is all about.
