Sen. Kerry attached a plea for people to donate to the VoteVets.org site yesterday in an e-mail to his subscriber list. He penned an article for the Huffington Post today that fills in a little more details on who is running VoteVets and what it means.
A snippet from the HuffPo article:

VoteVets.org whose mission it is to not only get young Iraq and Afghanistan combat veterans like Patrick Murphy elected but also to hold our nation's leaders accountable for the decisions they make that impact our soldiers, their families and our veterans. Politicians should have to answer to veterans, not just try to use them as backdrops to speeches. Jon and his group have worked incredibly hard and they're going to keep fighting right up to November 7th and for a long time after that. I'm hoping you'll consider joining them on their mission. Please
visit their site for more information, of if you would like to support them with their mission by donating, please

There seem to be a lot of very good Democrats involved in this effort, including Gen Clark, who knows what it means to deploy to really support our troops.
I have to say, I love this group. I hope these people are heard because it is extremely powerful to have veterans who have been over in Iraq tell what it is really like and how the Bush Administration and their Republican enablers in the Congress have deserted the troops in some many crucial areas.
