Just listening to him in some kind of Q&A on NPR (press conference, perhaps): The problem with the Geneva Conventions is that there's no "clarity" to what constitutes visiting indignity upon prisoners. Our armed forces need "clarity" so they know they're not violating the law. What is "indignity"? It's vague and requires clarity!

Sheesh.

See, the language of the Conventions, which have served the world well for 60 years, doesn't have the sort of loophole language that Bush needs so that he can subvert their intent. When it's something as broad the language of the Conventions, torture is pretty much ruled out, and Chimpy wants to torture the people he captures. Oh God, does he want to torture them!

Here's your "clarity," Mr. Bush: Don't torture people. If you do, you go to prison. Clear enough?
