Had they been, we wouldn't be wandering in the wasteland today. Howard does the most important thing Democrats can do -- He turns his scant appearances in the national media into pounding attacks on the repukes, in clear and courageous tones. MOst other Dems pablum-mouth their opportunities, or let wingnuts like Wallace put words in their mouths.
