The Question: Torture and How to Legalize Torture

It seems that everyone agrees waterboarding is a form of torture.

It seems we all agree that the CIA used waterboarding on prisoners.

Torture is illegal, not only in America, but just about everywhere.

But those who think torture of 'some' people should be legal are clamoring to make 'some' torture legal for 'some' people.

So what do they propose? Do they think they should haul 'some' people before a judge and try to make the case that those people should be tortured?

Or are they wanting to legalize the military as judge, jury, and torturer, totally separate from the judicial system?

2. You _DON'T!_ USA Do Not Torture. USA Do Not Legalize It.

This is so obvious I am embarrassed to have to write the following:

The United States Of America has one law. It is not only obscene but absurd that We The People allow the mis-administration to try to govern under the policy, “Here is the law, how do we get around it.”

Until and unless shrub and Co. learn to accept the principle of, “Here is the law - follow it,” the administration is doomed to fail. The failures have harmed the USA, threaten military service members and will continue to limit the ability for USA to lead the world.

USA is a land of laws. shrub and Co. need to get back to living within the law.

Civilized people have been able to defeat organize crime, capture their criminal leaders and bring them to justice using the law, national and international. The law protect all. Use the law to the people's advantage. When the law needs it - change it, don't try to go around it.

How can any one try to play the ‘legal certainty’ nonsense game to get around doing the right thing with regards to treating ACCUSED people held in US prisons? Can any one seriously be suggesting USA ignore international laws, agreements and treaties?

Legalize torture? Ya sure, right after it is tried on senior members of shrub and Co. mis-administration.
