Lieberman Insults U.S. Troops On Statewide TV
On statewide Connecticut television today, Sen. Joe Lieberman criticized those who want to redeploy U.S. troops from Iraq and have them better focused on international terrorist hotspots like Afghanistan. In the process, he insulted thousands of U.S. troops currently serving in combat in Afghanistan by claiming they aren't actually there. Specifically, Lieberman said, "A lot of people want to fight the other war , the one we're not involved in."

2. He means that lately it's Brits and Canadians bleeding instead
and that suits him just fine.

Though apparently no one told him that there are still Americans - they just launched an operation in E. Afghanistan, which is a little better than S. Afghanistan, but not by uh, much.

3. I think he's trying to imply
that Afghanistan is a NATO war, not a U.S. one, so it's not U.S. troops that are fighting it.

In other words, it is gobbeldy-gook.

7. .
Hm strange. I believe that the US started that war in Afghanistan because of 9/11 and all the other countries participated because they thought the war was warranted.
So what does he mean? Is it about Bin Laden being unimportant or it about letting the soldiers from other countries do the dying who participated because they supported the US?
