How come I'm the only one in the neighborhood with political signs

posted in my front yard? Seven of them to be exact - for Democrats, of course.

Anyone else with this problem? Am I the neighborhood kook or has apathy - fear overtaken the community?

1. Fear-they don't want to be identified as 'Liberals"

Members of "the extreme left"-"Pelosi lovers" who "encourage the terrorists". People are definitely intimidated-the constant flow of crap has had it's desired negative effect.

I bet your signs have a short life though, be prepared to replace them, it will drive them nuts! I replaced my last one four times.

2. I;ve had one taken so far but it has been replaced. The only Muslims

in town are doctors and they are Republicans but we are a border community.

4. I sure Hope so! This surprises me as the neighborhood

is pretty much blue collar/white collar - Anglo/Hispanic. Very diverse!!!

7. Don't feel bad

I live in a lower income working-class neighborhood and there are rarely political signs until a week or so before the election. I put my signs up the other day after cutting the grass. They might not get much exposure now, but I happen to live right next to the local polling place and you can't avoid seeing them.

8. We always put ours up early, end of August

so we are usually the only ones with them until sometime in October. We get them before the local parade takes place which goes right by our house. It's always amusing to watch the republican politicians avoid us like the plague.

I did see one sign around the corner today..pleasantly surprised me.

9. There's a big Demo bash on October 14th and signs will be passed out

there I'm sure. So I shouldn't be alone from then on.

The signs are not always available. We're still waiting on one that we ordered in mid-August.

it bothers me some, but makes me mad and more determined at the same time. I made the mistake of calling a neighbor, who I thought was Democrat....turns out "NOT", I had asked if they wanted a sign for their yard..lol.
When I got home I put my sign out in my yard! They have no sign.

11. Some communities have laws...

against the placement of political signs until a certain length of time (one month in my city) before elections. Of course, I put my signs out for the NYS primaries (allowed), but have just "forgotten" to take them down...
