Who else doesn't CARE who Kerry picks for VP?
Seriously, IF Kerry is the nominee, whoever he picks isn't going to make any difference to me. The only person I'd be voting FOR for President is Clark. If it's not him, my vote will merely be a vote AGAINST bush*, so it matters not a whit who else is on the ticket with the nominee.

This'll probably get locked, but really, there's about a dozen threads about who Kerry might or might not pick, and I just had to say something.

1. I'm also a Clark supporter but
in the eventuality that Kerry is the nominee I care for 2 reasons:

- I'm ABB and I'd like to win
- I hate to lose any Dem seats in the Senate or sitting governors

That said. Naturally, Wes Clark will make an extraordinary American President. John Kerry would probably be Okay. :-)

2. The only difference to me it makes is
if he chose someone who takes away some of the stench of "officialdom" surrounding Kerry.

3. We need some more threads on the subject.
Each possibility deserves its own thread.

6. I don't care who will be Kerry's VP right now
He still has to win the nod and Clark and Edwards are still in the race plus I'm still holding out for a Dean victory.

8. At the moment, the question is not relevant to me because...
...even though I like Kerry, I'm not ready to declare him the demnom.

9. I don't care, and I barely care that I don't care
Everyone -- I mean everyone I've discussed this with -- is voting anti-bush. Kerry has nothing to do with it now. People are tuning out. They've all gotten the memo and have returned to something more exciting than watching Kerry run for prez.

No matter what, I'll be supporting Dean.

11. If Kerry wins the Nom, My choice for VP would be any of the following
Dean, Edwards, Hillary, and Clark.

All of them are good enough to strengthen the ticket to the point of success.

Bush is imploding and is TOAST. They can prop him up only so much and he is way past his limits. Pub heads are gonna roll, him first.

18. Kerry will pick correctly if nominated, but...
I hope you are right about * imploding, my friend.
These are kick-em-when-they're-down, no-length-is-too-great, blinders-wearing Repugs we're up against. They will stop at NOTHING to retain control of power. Look at their previous lives in the corporate world... And the sheeple who follow them are many. I live in the Midwest and believe me, there are a lot of sleepwalking thumpers out here. But I do think there will be enough votes to show the present (illegal) occupants of the White House the door. They have given us so much ammunition these past three years that we had better get this election won, or I will be terminally jaded and left in a massive funk for a long long time.
All the best....

12. Yes and no
I mean yes, I care. But no, because I trust him to make a wise choice, so I'm not at all concerned about it.

13. I'm for Clark too
but if Kerry gets the nom, the VP selection could make a difference in getting bush out.

15. Well, I'm tired of the Kerry VP threads
simply because they are all based on rumors and speculation. They also give people who hate Kerry a place to poop.

16. Quite frankly, I can't think of anyone
who would really excite me.

I guess it's just that I'm not excited about Kerry, so that carries over to his Veep selection.

It's funny, but the Clark, Dean, & Edwards supporters are so enthused by their candidates, but I don't see that with Kerry. It seems to be much more pragmatic among people who are selecting Kerry. I just don't sense any passion.

17. I see his support as more of...
people jumping on a bandwagon. There doesn't seem to be any deep heartfelt feelings towards this guy, just some kinda generic, "he will do" type attitude!

19. Right
And in the primaries, it's this "he is electable" steamroller.

I think the support is a mile wide & an inch deep.
