"everybody talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it"
that's the old saying, anyway ... but it's not true anymore ... somebody is doing something about it but they need our help ...

DU has lots and lots of people who admire Al Gore ... and there's no question that Gore's campaign to warn the entire world about the devastating impact of global warming is nothing short of heroic ... on this, all sane people agree ...

but supporting Gore's efforts and helping raise awareness about global warming is just not enough ...

here's an opportunity to join people who are actively engaged on the front lines of the battle to fight back against the CO2 polluters ... The Sierra Club just dropped the price of their membership to a miniscule $15 (thru September 30) ... and if that doesn't tempt you, they also throw in a pretty nice backpack ... i hope you'll check out their membership offer on the following page:

https://ww2.sierraclub.org/membership/actionplan/join.asp

and for those who want to know more about the Sierra Club's endorsements of 2006 candidates, here's a page listing their preferences:

http://www.sierraclub.org/endorsements/2006/

while it's true they endorse a handful of republicans, it looks like almost 99% of their endorsements go to Democrats!!

to learn more about the Sierra Club, check out their home page: http://www.sierraclub.org

the Sierra Club seems like a "DU kind" of organization and it would be great if we would all consider joining ... for $15 and a backpack too, it's a pretty good deal ... the Sierra Club is standing up for Democrats; they're fighting against global warming; they're fighting against the polluters and Big Oil; let's stand behind them ...
