The Whole World Has *'s Number...... |
|
I was away on business the last few days and didn't follow the UN speeches in the depth that I would have liked to - but from what I've been able to piece together and see on snippets of the news reports and read here on DU and other sites - it appears that the whole world had *'s number. They all know what he is doing to this world and what he is capable of still doing and they are warning everyone now. Both Ahmadinejad and Chavez came off to me as statesmen and * came off as the loose cannon. If you listen to the U.S. news however, they are painting Ahmadinejad and Chavez as the loonies. Our media is still complicit in *'s activities.
I read Chavez's speech in its entirety. He was spot on. By the nature of the response he got at the UN (applause) it looks like the other countries agree with him. If only the American people that support * can see this.
On my way home from the airport my taxi driver was a Palestinian. We had a conversation about what has been going on in his part of the world. He got to the U.S. through Jordan about a year ago. He has family back in his country that are being suppressed by the Israeli's. He said the conditions back home are really bad. They are walled off and their country is being slowly
He indicated that his people know that it is the American government that should be blamed for their policies and not the American people - but his people are disappointed in the American's that continue to vote this government into power. They - like us - were disillusioned when * won his second term.

2. Well, not quite the WHOLE world. |
|
There's still that 32% of backwash.
And IMHO both Chavez and Ahmadinejad would be badmouthing the US regardless of who was in power here.
