The Washington Post (2/2/04) calls it “THE FIRST ROCK ALBUM EVER RECORDED BY A SERIOUS CANDIDATE FOR THE OVAL OFFICE.” As a member of The Electras, a band he joined while attending Saint Paul's School, presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry played bass electric guitar with "pulsating rhythm" and "tremendous force." In 1961 Kerry and the band pooled their money and produced this album. Less than 500 discs were made. Only a handful exist today! Buy it for your rare record or political memorabilia collection ... or as an inauguration gift for Kerry’s Presidential Library. Songs include Summertime Blues, You Can't Sit Down, Ya Ya, Sleepwalk and Three Blind Mice. Record is in excellent condition; album jacket has discoloration along bottom. (Note: the Democratic frontrunner is described as "a resident of Oslo, Norway" on the back cover. Kerry, in the photo, is third from the right.)
Please email buyer with any questions before bidding. Payment is due within 7 days of close of auction. Shipping & insurance will be paid by buyer, I strongly recommend insurance, although optional.
