Crist raises $1.2 million to Davis' $149,000
September 23, 2006

ORLANDO — Continuing his fund-raising dominance, Republican Charlie Crist raised nearly $1.2 million for his campaign while Democrat Jim Davis raised less than $149,000.

Both candidates for governor reported campaign contributions Friday for the period of Sept. 9-15.

Crist was attending a Republican Party reception in Orlando as word of Davis' fund-raising effort filtered through the hall. Both supporters and staffers took the news as a sign that the Democrat's campaign is in trouble.

Davis' campaign reported having about $412,000 left in the bank compared to Crist's nearly $2 million.

Crist and the GOP are trying to raise up to $30 million for the November election. Davis and the Democrats are expected to raise far less.

This sickening. What is wrong with the DEM party in FL. It's almost like they want to lose?

2. Might be a case of most us having not so much money?
How many fund solicitations do you receive daily? I know I personally receive more than ten on a slow day. I live on a disability check I have less than $ 200 remaining in my savings account, I have been drawing on it every month, despite my best efforts not to. I give to candidates because I think it is too important not to, but everyone, literally everyone, wants money. My mail is filled with it. My e mail has about twenty solicitations a day. Everyone wants their share of my pie. I like to eat, too.
I can't live on what I make, while the Government raises my copays, thats what's wrong!
