Is the economy really as good as the republicons say...
bush wants to run on a good economy. I would like to know why when people have to work to jobs and and the jobs are minimum wage, every week I see layoffs all over the country so where is the good economy.

1. But all the tax cuts to the rich have created jobs
in India and Communist China. We middle class Americans get to work McJobs like serving french fries and cleaning rentals. What a wonderful economy we have.

2. No, the Pukes are lying, again...
Mr. Wonderful works as a heavy equipment mechanic, most of his clients are building contractors here in the Chicago area and his workload has really slowed down from this time last year. It's not looking real good here.

3. No It Is Not - No, No, when they talk about the economy being good,
it is good for Bush's Economic group friends. They have become more rich than ever. This includes the CEO's of our large corporations.

Look around you on what is going on with the American worker, small wage increases for those that keep their jobs or they are not outsourced. More work is added if someone leaves for one reason or another to the ones that are left. Look at Ford motor who is laying off over 10,000 workers by buyouts or whatever and say they will rehire at lower wages.

The tax cuts for the rich also brought on increases in subway, bus & other modes of transportation for those trying to work. Other everyday costs have gone up for the working class along with any benefits being cut for those that needed them to pay for the rich's tax cuts.

I am sure you all know what I am talking about, the cost of living has gone up for all of us, jobs have been lost and the rich have gained in all of this.

The economy itself is not getting better but being propped up and you will probably see other good news about the economy from the corporate media, wall street, oil companies, who all will do everything in their power to keep the republicans in power.

8. I think a lot of people can't be heard on polls ..
the internet or anything else and this is due to loss of jobs, utilities and homes. There is a fight for survival in this country.

5. The economy is in tatters.
The rich get richer, the middle-class get poor and the poor get worse.

Here's a tip when attempting to digest anything written or said by this administration or their supporters: they're fucking liars.

6. If I could put a fabulous lifestyle on my credit card...
fantastic apartment, furniture, trips, food, clothes, etc, it would look like I was doing amazingly well. Particularly if I acted as if my debt need never be paid back. But eventually the bill will come due...sometime after the top 1% make sure they're not going to have to pay for it.

9. For most people
how good the economy is based on personal situations
and what they see around them..Using myself, family and
friends as my guide I would have to say the economy is as good
as ever...But using other resources I find it is not that good,
not the worst I've ever seen but not the best.

10. One thing that needs to be said is that
even if you are lucky enough to have a decent paying manufacturing job the threat is always hanging over your head that "we will close this plant and move to Mexico"

Accept the cuts in benefits and wages. Accept the longer hours. Accept the faster production lines. You belong to us and if you don't like it, "we will move your jobs to Mexico".

Those kind of threats do not inspire confidence in the economy.
