2. I saw it last night

on our local news. This was on an ABC affiliate station. I checked the NBC affiliate but didn't see anything before I went to bed.

3. Am I the only one who has a nagging feeling about this NIE?

Bush had been plagued for years (even as governor) about AWOL/special treatment while in the Guard. A few weeks before the '04 election, memo's were aired by CBS that backed up the charge. I'm sure we all remember what happened next. The discussion quickly changed from: whether there was any truth to the AWOL/special treatment charge and became "media bias", etc. I just have this feeling that in a couple of days, the source of the leak - one with some ties (real or imagined) - to the Democratic Party will be "discovered". Then you'll hear not whether we're safer or not, but "Democrats using classified information for political gain". Then again, maybe I'm just becoming paranoid.
