Great Poll on Clinton's Performance Against Wallace

So far, Bill is winning the poll

There is also a good article:

NEW YORK (Sept. 25) -- In a combative interview on "Fox News Sunday," former President Clinton defended his handling of the threat posed by Osama bin Laden, saying he tried to have bin Laden killed and was attacked for his efforts by the same people who now criticize him for not doing enough.

Bill Clinton Angrily Defends bin Laden Handling
'You Got That Little Smirk on Your Face and You Think You're So Clever'
By KAREN MATTHEWS, AP

NEW YORK (Sept. 25) -- In a combative interview on "Fox News Sunday," former President Clinton defended his handling of the threat posed by Osama bin Laden, saying he tried to have bin Laden killed and was attacked for his efforts by the same people who now criticize him for not doing enough.

"That's the difference in me and some, including all of the right-wingers who are attacking me now," Clinton said in the interview. "They ridiculed me for trying. They had eight months to try, they did not try."

Clinton accused host Chris Wallace of a "conservative hit job" and asked: "I want to know how many people in the Bush administration you asked, 'Why didn't you do anything about the Cole?' I want to know how many people you asked, 'Why did you fire Dick Clarke?'" He was referring to the USS Cole, attacked by terrorists in Yemen in 2000, and former White House anti-terrorism chief Richard A. Clarke.

Wallace said Sunday he was surprised by Clinton's "conspiratorial view" of "a very non-confrontational question, 'Did you do enough to connect the dots and go after al-Qaida?'" "All I did was ask him a question, and I think it was a legitimate news question. I was surprised that he would conjure up that this was a hit job," Wallace said in a telephone interview.

4. Wallace and the rest of the MSM right wing propaganda team do not
like it when they are surprised. They want to be able to dispurse censored information, bent to benefit the right wing, and they do not want to be questioned about the way they do it.

I'm thrilled that Bill Clinton called Wallace out on it, and the rest of the Dems could take a cue from Bill and do the same thing. Once they find their spines, of course!

I could kiss Bill full on the lips for what he did on Faux News! He's a brilliant man who deserves a lot more credit for being a great President than he's received so far. But I believe history will show he was one of our best Presidents.

I miss Bill.

5. Surprising that Clinton got so upset
considering he was invited on the show to talk about something totally different.

Wallace's little smirk gave away the intent of his question. Not to mention that his "question" was speech-length and had no real question mark at the end. He thought that by just asking the question he was smearing Clinton. He underestimated Clinton, perhaps not being used to people with actual brains who can tell the truth from time to time. He works for Fox, I'm sure he rarely, if ever, encounters people like that.

6. "It was a legitimate news question"
And when Clinton started to answer it in a fashion not to your liking, you tried to cut him off. Now why would that be, Mr. Wallace?

You invited Clinton to come on your program to talk about his Global Initiative, and had even gone to the trouble of putting "Clinton Global Initiative" on the backdrop for the interview. But you didn't get more than one question in before veering off into rightwing nutjob land, where you apparently wanted to just ask your "legitimate news questions" but you didn't want to give Clinton the time or the space to answer.

I'm sure it did surprise you that Clinton is obviously much smarter than you; but the man is a Rhodes Scholar, after all, Mr. Wallace. And unlike legacy appointments to Yale, you actually have to earn those. You were probably also badly surprised by Clinton's ability because it's been part of the comforting tale you and your rightwing ilk have told each other over the years that Clinton isn't capable or competent.

Well, you got gob-smacked right in your simpering little puss, didn't you Mr. Wallace? I'll just bet that stings and more than a little.

What do you expect from one of Bill O'Lielly's (as Al Franken calls him) colleagues?

Was Clinton's anger at the question justified?
Yes 62%
No 38%
Total Votes: 82,030

Compared to 194,440 for the first question about whether or not Clinton did enough.

We need help on the first question as the Repubs are hitting it hard.

big dog, then cuts to a lengthy "interview" of bill o'liely explaining how fair faux news is.

16. But that wasn't the question he asked him.
WALLACE: … but the question is, why didn’t you do more, connect the dots and put them out of business?

By answering that question he would have to admit that he didn’t do enough and then justify it.
