OK, Dean people, now I know this is very risky and has the potential

to backfire on us but since we need something very dramatic to help re-energize our campaign (in my opinion) what if we did something totally daring and - since the distorted audio Iowa "scream" speech seems to have been Howard's "downfall" - air - all over Wa and Wi TV - the "http://idiomstudio.com" version!!
It is a beautiful and spectacular couple of minutes - wild enthusiasm, flags flying all over the place, crowd going nuts - and Howard - way up there on the stage - trying to be heard over them- and barely is. The so called "scream" is hardly audible - the way it REALLY was that night as I know people that were there. It just looks like a totally happy, joyous and festive rally and Howard looks great and best of all - its real - not produced by a high priced PR firm. Dangerous, yes! But could be just the antidote we need.

and he could introduce it and set it up- "This is the video Howard Dean's opponents didn't want you to see because he represent a new way, a clear voice and vision for America..." -or words to that effect!

Most people never got a chance to see the "scream" in context.

From the audience's perspective, the speech was fantastic, rousing and fun! I think they SHOULD air the real version -- it's amazing. It would be a great opportunity to turn something that damaged his campaign into something very, very positive.

time to move on to more pressing matters. To spend time on the past is to waste time ... let the voice of the good dr. be spent on issues that he makes so much sense on ... time spent on "their" issue is letting them control the agenda.

Gross analogy, yes :) But it's true -- the way the media spun that scream speech caused him to lose a lot of credibility -- and a lot of votes. It does need to be dealt with, because the image the media painted of him as a raving lunatic won't just disappear.

Still, I like the idea for WI. I think they should go with whatever ads they already have scheduled, and do this in addition.

Maybe you should pass this along to the Dean campaign. And there was some thread here last night about a 527 group in WA running ads for Dean. Maybe they could help too.

12. I'm still working for Dean, but I have very low hopes for him now.

You may be surprised to learn why I feel that way.

It's not because of the scream, or the bad press, or the Trippi departure or the media writing him off. No, I think it's because the country is so fed up with bush that they want the Dem candidate decided NOW so they can feel good about getting behind someone that can take bush down. They're all expecting it to be Kerry, but they'll settle for Edwards.

Sorry if that's pessimistic, it's just how I see it.
