Et tu Keith? Keith lets his guest blast Clinton for being too angry
What a damn joke. Damned if we do, Damned if we don't. I know Keith is about to hand Bush his ass because of what Clinton said but, come on. He had every right to be angry. Look what has had to put up with. ABC, FOX, MSM, all blaming him when shit head did NOTHING. I didn't like the way Keith let the guest blast Clinton for his anger. What the hell.

1. Minor imo. Alter is usually pretty level-headed. Maybe Clinton
handed him his hat in the past and he's still pissed.

15. Jonathan Alter is distrustful of Clinton. Alter was agains NAFTA passing
and was on a panel that tried to stop it when Clinton was first elected. Alter has never trusted Clinton. He's a little like Ariana who was "cool" to Clinton's appearance on Faux on a panel this weekend.

Alter is a bit of a purist...but whether he's libertarian or Socialist leaning I've never figured out. He seemed to go to the "dark side" when Bush got Selected...so he's a wierd bird. I've always felt his heart was with Dems...but I do know that he was TOTALLY against NAFTA...so he would have no love of Clinton.

I thought he was very fair about Clinton giving the signal to Dems to now come out and FIGHT against the REPUGS if one listened to his whole statement on Keith, though. Even if he doesn't like Clinton he respected what he did.

At least that was my take, on it. Only my 2cents about why he might not have sounded as supportive of Bush as what we would hope for.

A Google would show his early fight against NAFTA..

2. no such thing as a Democrat being too angry
John Q. Public is catching on. I've seen interviews with Republics in my local paper (SF Chronicle) where the disenchantment with the GOP BS is palpable. Faux News is restricting access to the interview because of Clinton's eloquent expression of the truth, but the truth is out there and there's no putting the genie back in the bottle.

9. With all the other networks saying how poor Clinton was so angry
I just hoped to hear a different view on Keith's show. Maybe Keith let this guy on to balance the fury he's about to release in his special comment. Hoping!

17. Actually, Alter directed attention to HUGE ISSUES that are being lost
BECAUSE of the Clinton story.

The NIE report should be every lead, indepth story. It is tremendously harmful to Bush administration.

And the TORTURE issue.

And the generals BLASTING WH and Rumsfeld for lying about the war conditions for political reasons.

4. I think it's piss poor if any Democrat criticizes Clinton for setting the
record straight. It's what we wanted, it's what we asked for and now that it's finally happened, he has 100% of my support and should get 100% support from all the Democrats too.

5. I just can't stand that the 'story' here is WJC's disposition,
and not the content of his tirade. They are portraying exactly what Clinton was railing against; Butch can smirk, whine, stamp his feet and brow beat people during his microphone time, but that never sees a single word in print or occupies one second of air time.

It must be that good 'ole Liberal media at work, huh?

The rest is a diversion.

6. My favorite rightwing idiot meltdown was O'Reilly screaming at Franken.
Red-faced, totally out of control. Yelling, "Shut up! Just shut up!" That was supposedly a banner moment for the knuckledraggers.

But a simple stern reply to a cheap shot "journalist" is a over the top? Horseshit.

11. Reminds me of the time Bush said "let me finish" in a debate
and NO ONE was talking to him. The media gave him a free pass as usual, learned that he was wired and never reported it. The NYT sat on the story because it was too close to election time.
