Are Bill Clinton's political views different than Hillary's?
They seem to be real similar if not the same.

If she did get elected Pres. he would most likely be real influential in her policy decision, wouldn't he? What would his official role most likely be?

1. Doubt it.
Could you imagine living with somebody as bright and articulate as Bill Clinton for 20 years and not being convinced of his viewpoints? (or vice versa)

4. I'd have to imagine....
...that two free-thinking individuals like Bill and Hillary Clinton would have some differences of opinion, but that they probably wouldn't air those differences out in public.

As far as his role goes, it would probably be the same as hers during his Presidency: unofficial advisor, or "co-President" as they described it in 1992.

5. "Co-President"
Maybe Chief of Staff. Voting for Hillary would be getting Bill back in the WH steering America along with Hillary, wouldn't it? I think that he is actually running again.

6. I don't think there's much difference there.
I do think that he is an incredibily gifted politician and communicator and that she suffers in comparison.

Bill comes off as a real human being with all his flaws and brilliance combined for all to see.

Hillary is a very private person who comes off as cold and calculating.

Love him, hate her seems to be the attitude alot of people have about them.

7. Hillary is more liberal -trusts gov as in Nat'l single payer Health - but
Edited on Tue Sep-26-06 06:02 AM by papau
she is also more to the center than most of the folks on the DU board, and while not as pro-corporate as Bill, she is again more pro-corporate than most of the folks on the DU board.

As to single payer national health, folks can check out her book and note that she says that it was Bill who would not allow the health task force to go in that direction - which is how I remember it also (I was "there" on the corporate side in a minor role at the time).

8. I see Bill as a possible Secretary of State
If Hillary is elected President in 2008 we are going to need a skilled and well respected person like our former president to rebuild bridges to all the nations that have been offended by Georgie Boy. Who is better able to restore America in the eyes of the World than Bill Clinton?
