CNN explains why the Right is quaking about the Clinton interview
Edited on Tue Sep-26-06 08:45 AM by Atman
Bill "AEI" Schneider was giving the latest poll numbers, and becomes clear why the righties are in such a twitter...after spending $70,000,000 to "investigate" his blow job and impeach him, after writing a brazillion articles demonizing Bill and Hillary, after attempting to smear Bill on ABC and FOX...Bill Clinton is STILL the most popular public figure in America.* He trounces Bush's "favorability" numbers. He is still viewed in a positive light by more than 60% of the population, while Chimply barely measures. No matter what they do, their favorite punching bag keeps popping up to kick them in the ass and remind America why Republican-ism is a failed idealogy of hate, ignorance and violence. It pisses them off to know end, and no matter what they do, Bill will ALWAYS be infinitely more popular then Bush will ever be.

It burns their ass when we don't worship their gods.

(*ON EDIT: They claimed Laura Bush was the only person who even came close, but I don't recall whether they said her approvals were greater than or less than Bill's. It doesn't matter, though, unless we're voting for Stepford Librarian Of The Year.)

2. "It burns their ass when we don't worship their gods".
So true. And they'll accept nothing less, which is why they're such an authoritarian, "My way or the highway" bunch.

9. Great quote, isn't it? I'm making a note of it.
And it superbly sums up these assholes. They are the ULTIMATE "sore losermans." It must just sting to see the guy they hate - so beloved by everybody else, AND that nothing they try to do to him seems to work at taking him down. They'll NEVER be able to take him down. And they know it. And they want to now, more desperately than ever, as their little lord pissypants fades farther into nothingness by comparison. As long as Clinton's around to remind people what a REAL President is/was, their little baby looks worse, worser, and worst (as Olbermann would say). FACE IT, neoCONS. You've hitched your wagon to an ANVIL.

14. You just gave us another quote to remember.
"You've hitched your wagon to an ANVIL" I love it.

11. But then he wouldn't be the person he is.
One of his greatest strengths is that he looks for the good in people, and in situations. He doesn't expect the worst. (And when it happens, he is visibly shocked, as in the Wallace interview.)

This, unfortunately, is a weakness when dealing with his polar opposite -- someone like Bush who projects all his own evil on other people, and sees nothing but the worst in people who are not his trusted allies.

4. Who the fuck cares how Laura Bush rates? Why don't we rate
Oprah too? I bet she'd do better than Clinton. They're just trying to make some Bush look popular.

5. They spent $91.3 million of taxpayer money on their partisan witch hut
And their fishing expeditions didn't end until this year! I just revisited that early this morning to update the grand total.

6. Bill Clinton is an intelligent man. Bush is a spoiled child.
One valued life and environment. The other values cash and power.

7. Don't forget the money ABC spent
What was it for "Path to 9/11"? $35 million? $40 million? Commercial-free and untouched from the overheated imagination of the most freeperish minds that can compose a sentence to your living room. And Clinton wiped it clean off the map with a few sentences, pimped Chris Wallace, and quite possibly gave Senate Democrats enough of a spine to stop the GOP agenda for the rest of the week before all those hard-working Senators and Representatives toddle off for another month trying to save their phoney baloney jobs.

8. I'll Take The Small Favor From Bill Schneider Though!!!
Wolfie simply gets under my skin. Even when he KNOWS certain facts to be true he always seems to put some sort of "zinger" spin on what is being said!!

I don't watch him, only Cafferty.... but I hear plenty from those of you who do. I just can't bear to see him in action. I feel the same with with El Smirkle-Roy... even when I see him making comments on Democracy Now, I hit the "mute" button. His voice is like finger nails on a blackboard!

I try very hard not to use the word HATE, so I will simply say I ABHOR this president with every fiber of my being!

10. in NYC, in 2001, he was on tabloids page one daily: "Office gate" "pardon
gate" "Presents gate" "speech fees gate" - all with unflatering pictures and over the top lies...Then, 3 months later, someone decided to do this poll and a different headline appeared (still have that issue):

"If he run for Mayor, Clinton would trounce Giuliani, everyone else"

12. Bill Clinton is going to leave a hillacious legacy.
He's what America is all about. Someone who was strong enough to take on the whole fucking Republican party, and was still left standing.

15. Clinton undercuts their ENTIRE 06 strategy...
The reason BushCo is responding to and attacking Clinton--is because
Clinton demonstrates WITH FACTS--that he did more to deter bin Laden
than Junior EVER did.

Clinton laid it all out. A fourth grader could understand it. Clinton
made several efforts and even had an order to kill him. Bush did absolutely
nothing. There is NOTHING BushCo can point to---to suggest that they
tried to catch bin Laden or hold him accountable for the Cole, the Kenya
bombings--or anything else. They can't point to a meeting, a plan, or
a commission that focused on getting bin Laden.

Clinton's FACTS totally eviscerates the Republican 06 election strategy---define
the Dems as weak on terror and the Republicans as tough on terror.

With Big Dog out there--speaking the truth with a historical record to back
him up---it kinda takes the wind out of the Republican sail of deception.

Brilliant move on Clinton's part...

If the Dem leadership in Congress doesn't capitalize on the gift Clinton
has handed them---they deserve to lose big time in November. Where are they?
