Classified documents were treated with the utmost of care and security when I served. And now, if bush needs to gain a political point or two, POOF, a document is (partially) declassified. Why not totally declassified? Why not make it a filler in the Sunday Paper? bush thinks that declassifying part of the National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) will negate the truth that rational Americans now know, that the Iraqi war is causing terrorism to grow and it is his fault.
He is right in one sense. The mere mention that he would declassify a document is a masturbatory exercise for the limbaughs of the world. Obviously his simple act of declassification proves beyond any shadows of doubt in the small amount of grey matter in the head of a conservative that whatever bush says is true. Its almost like they are "cherry picking" classified data. Imagine.
