2. These are not politically expedient lies (at least not in the main),

they are LEGALLY expedient lies. Condie is trying to establish a veil of obfuscation and alibi for whatever criminal proceedings are in her future. If it can be proved that she shredded pertinent documents she'll have obstruction of justice added on. With every revelation from pre-9/11 there is more and more evidence weighing in favor of LIHOP; it is difficult, now, to even entertain the notion that the Bush regime is not culpable...
