The New Detention & Torture Bill Is Worth A War....
---If congress hands Bush the sole power to decide to detain, suspend habeas corpus for American citizens, imprison indefinitely without counsel,.. and torture if he wishes,... then the illegal degradation of the Constitution is just about complete. Do they think we have so forgotten our American heritage and constitutional legacy that this will go down uncontested? It should, in fact, unleash a political counterattack, the likes of which have never been seen in the US. The neocons are flirting with more than electoral rejection this time,... they are flirting with the gallows.
