Things Looking Up For Democrats!
Edited on Wed Sep-27-06 12:09 AM by themartyred
Wow. I can feel it. It seems like there's dozens of races across this country in typically "red" areas that are mindboggingly "TOSSUPS" according to news agencies and web reports.

Even in Conn. you got Republicans trying to not appear that they're Republican. Shays is pulling a Lieberman in his latest ad, saying "We're Americans first, and Republicans & Democrats second."

I'd run some commercials in typically blue states and say, "my opponent doesn't want you to hear that they're a REPUBLICAN and even worse, has stood along side Bush's plans in Iraq and his economic failures in protecting good wages!"

I am absolutely GIDDY at the prospects of not only winning the House, but winning it big, and winning OH senate, VA senate, and Conn. senate. I hope we show a bump in the NJ and MO senate races, any good news there, let's hear it?!
Here's just one BIG example

2. "incompetent bottle washers"
I love it.

and nope, it's not working, they keep trying to drill the SOS (same ol shit) into Americans that they've done and it's as if the populous as turned off their ears and has their mind set on a Dem takeover of at least the House. In fact, the only thing that has me pissed already, is Rove promising an October surprise. My Mom heard him say that, I hope she was wrong, but what the H does that mean? If the B*sh admin. knows something and is holding it for a month for politics I'm gonna be pissssssssssssed and in the streets with millions of others...

bless you.

6. These hooligans are vicious, dirty infighters,
but they are not magicians nor miracle workers.
They are about as deep in sh*t as they can get, right now, and if they have any aces up their sleeves, they'd best haul them out and use them right away or the opportunity will have flown.
I shouldn't worry too much: the death of a thousand cuts is well begun.

Accusing a legless IraqNam vet of cutting and running!
Or look at what is happening to George Allen. His campaign is one of the most entertaining in the country. What a doofus. And their dirty tricks are coming back to haunt them.

3. I agree. But let's put out thanks where they belong - Howard Dean and his
50 state plan.
(take that, Rahm)

4. you make a valid point
and when I heard it I agreed with the plan. I backed off it when I heard some negatives to it a while back (I can't even remember them now, shows how short lived the swaying was for me!) and firmly believe focusing on all levels is a great idea, in every state, because it causes a shoring up effect on the other side to spend $ where they don't want to. Of course I back pulling out heavy in races in the final weeks where it's 10 pts or more deficit, unless there are a BUNCH of races effected UNDER the race itself, that could be swayed in that state.

7. I agree with you on that.
I think it is already working in many ways. Thanks for mentioning.

9. I haven't seen any polls
but I'm a campaign volunteer for Diane Benson, who's running against Don Young (he's inexplicably been in the House since 1972), and she's been getting a huge amount of grassroots support here from both Republicans and Democrats (even though we're getting ZERO support from the national people). I think it would be so ironic if, while everyone's got their eyes on all these "close" races, Alaska sneaks in a Democrat. Keep your fingers crossed, guys.
