Which combo would you rather have represent us in the GE?

Just curious.

Personally, I'd rather see a Dean/Clark - Clark/Dean ticket.

Richardson is admirable, and would attract a segment of the electorate that has been swayed toward Bush by his immigrant policy.

I can see Clark and Richardson on a ticket together. If not our nominee (Clark), both have a place in the Democratic nominee's administration.

if kerry gets nomination, dean goes 3rd party, picks a republican, someone like ron paul R-TX, and pulls from both parties in the ge and takes america back.

Is going to select Gephardt, which will provide for string wins outside of the south, where all head to head polls show Bush slaughtering any democrat who comes up against him by significant margins. The places where demcrats seem to be able to beat Bush are the Northeeast, the Northwest, the southern states that Border the Northern States. Kerry shows the largest leadsd against Bush in all areas of the coutry except the south, and those leads are large. IN Wsahington State, Kerry comes in at 55 percent, Bush at 48 percent. Other Democrats do well but not enough outside the Margins of error to make wins a sure thing in those states. Selecting Gephardt will provide Kerry with a large advantage over Bush in the Midwest, and likely turnaround some states like Iowa, which gave Kerry a large Democratic win, but still show Bush winning in the General election. With Kerry carrting only one southern state. like Florida, which is becoming a likelihood according to head to heads there, a democratic win hinges on winning as many states outside of the south as possible, which seems very likely, and just one or two southern states. Focusing on the south is does not seem like a very good strategy, as Bush has those states sewn up against any democrat running in head to heads done in those states. Kerry can cary the Northeast, and the high electoral states of the midwest.With heavy union support he can easily carry California.

I bleive that Gephardt will be the Vice Presidential candidate selected by Kerry, and all polling data indicates that this would be the best move for democrats in 2004.

14. You need some perspective

on how you read polls. You seem to think Bush is still leading Kerry (or any democrat)in Iowa based on head-to-head polling done in December. SUSA did a poll then. Things have changed a bit since then. I bet if head-to-head polling was done in Iowa right now Kerry has about a 10 point lead in Iowa.

15. Clark/Edwards is the right team to beat bush

If you look at the demographics and not the political hooplah, this is the most logical ticket. Clark brings the leadership, foriegn policy experience. Edwards balances with his knowlege of washington. Plus the repugs couldnt play the patriotism card. This would truly be a national ticket that would scare the hell out of rove.
