Three things that would not have happened without "The Internets": |
|
* Stephen Colbert's brilliant smackdown of the Chimp becomes a topic of watercooler conversation.
* George Macaca Allen gets his racist ass -- and his political future -- in serious trouble.
* The media's "Clinton is to Blame" meme gets turned on its head and comes back to bite the Rethugs, energizing and emboldening Democrats in the process.
Three cheers for Al Gore's Internets! :bounce: :yourock: :toast:

3. Actually--without the internets there would be no information |
|
The neo-cons planned and carried out a coup. They learned lessons from Vietnam and Hitler. The control of information is key to their success. Their fatal error was to "misunderestimate" the internet. Without the internet we would have only propaganda. They would define the truth and we would have no other source. As it is, they inhibit dissent by control of the airwaves and dehumanizing anyone who disagrees.
They are attempting to fix their error with legislation and control of big business (AOL / AT&T).
