Reminder: We need to vote Democratic in '06 regardless of party views!
Great people of DU, I have to tell you something, it's something very important. I am very angry and furious today. I watching the House on C-SPAN today and they show a press conference with House Majority leader John Boehner of Ohio, House Majority Whip Roy Blunt of Missouri and Republican Conference Chair Deborah Pryce of Ohio. They were going on how america is in such great shape, were winning the war in Iraq and how everywhere in America jobs are growing. They also pointed they they Democrats offer on plan for the fixture of America and it went on for about one minute how we offer nothing to the table and so forth.

Well after listening I just got angry, I lost control so I threw a cup full of pens and pencils across the room and punched my left hand against the wall, making my knuckles very sore.

I know it's stupid what I did but my great friends of DU I have had it with the republican leadership with them being out of touch with the average voter and how they couldn't get themselves out of a paper bag if they wanted to. I mean what angers me about the 109th Congress if that the repukes are inconsistent and moronic and while the country goes to hell in a handcart instead of trying to take responsibility for there wrong actions, all they do is play the blame game and constantly blame the Democrats and Bill Clinton and the liberal media for every fucking wrong thing that this country faces and I can't take it anymore.

That why i'm blogging to tell you guys this: whatever you do you must vote Democratic in 2006,it's the only way to get this country back on the right track. Look I know you guys hate the Democratic party for the time being for some of there votes(like on torture and so forth)and how they are a tad "spineless", but I will promise you guys this, if you vote Democratic in 2006 I promise you america will get back on the right track, we will bring a solution to end the war in Iraq, the minimum wage will be raised, we will fix the social security problem we are going to have and it won't you it won't have to do with privatization and many other things.

I know your all like me and are fed up with the Republican leadership, but instead of taking it out on the Democrats we must be united as one are vote all the repukes out of office.

Thank You for taking the time to listen to me, I really appreciate it and have a great evening.

The only way to take the right wing out of power and neutralize the Bush Administration is to vote for Democrats!

5. That´s what I keep harping on too Daylin...
I keep pleading to my fello DUers to STOP the anti DLC threads until November 8th..

Stop the anti Harold Ford, Jr. threads until after November 8th..

STOP the Casey isn´t left enough threads until November 8th..

It annoys some of the DUers and they tell me to take a hike.. .. But I think you´re right .. for now, regardless of how centrist the Democrat in the primary may be..

..lets WIN now!

We can afford to be more selective when we´re no longer the minority party.

Great thread ... I hope your hand is ok!!

10. I became a Democrat for a reason..
but if I told you what that reason was, you would only laugh.

Pelosi and others need to stop being nice to Republicans, and promising to never hold Bush accountable for any laws he has broken! She doesn't need to embrace impeachment, but for her to take impeachment off the table only makes one-party government seem more likely.

"obey, never question those in authority. dissent is dangerous to patriotism, and the law is only what those in power deem to be in their best interest."

sorry, does anyone else have the impression that Dennie Hartert would now be more likely to impeach Bush than Pelosi would? The only thing that will now win my vote this November will be solid reassurance from local Democrats that they will provide no support for such losers!

11. I agree.
And I reserve the right to express my anger at the way some Democrats vote, like Harold Ford, Jr., who wants to be my Senator, voting for that torture bill today. :banghead:

14. I am glad that Pelosi took impeachment off the table
Look believe it or not,the Democrats other other crap to do than spend alot of time and effort to impeach a guy that by the time the dems take power will be half way out the door. The democrats will have more on there plate then to punish Bush and here are some of the thing:

-Investigation the war and have a solution to end it
-fixing social security without privateization
-raiseing the minunum wage
-fixing the "gas gouging"
-straghening out national security

And those are just a few issues.

Then there are the republicans, you know they they play and fight dirty and will do anything to there seats, if the Democrats flat-out admit that they want to impeach the President Karl Rove, RNC and the MSM will have a field day with out, saying that the Dems are out on a witch hunt and getting revenge for Clinton. Trust me, you don't want it.

Look I know you guys have a right to be angry, but I feel some of us take it too far and I get arfraid that because of the Dems voting record DU members will do the following.

-Not show up to vote
-vote for the 3rd party
-vote republican

So listen, I promise you the bad if behind us and what we need to do is unifed us behinnd the party and vote blue and nov 7 and I promise you good things will happen

16. voters are pissed with Bush..
and Democrats need to take advantage of this in order to win! Republicans never hesitated to use the voter's anger at Clinton for their advantage, so why can't we do the same against the Republicans?

-Investigation the war and have a solution to end it
-fixing social security without privatization
-raising the minimum wage
-fixing the "gas gouging"
-straightening out national security

Most of what has been listed probably cannot be done without a Democratic President and a Democratic Congress. If Bush vetoed a minimum wage increase or an end to "gas gouging"..it would still win us more votes. But regarding a fix of Social Security and national security..I doubt this can be accomplished until Bush leaves office.

15. The time to send a message and scare to Democrats is...
in the primaries not the general elections (Unless the Democrat is a total scumbag and I mean the lowest form of life on earth) Otherwise do it at the primary election and use your post office, phone and internet to let that Democrat know how you feel. Never just call your Rep or Senator just because you agree with them if they are a Democrat.

Of course, if they are a Republican always let them know that you disagree with them and never call to say they are doing a good job.

12. Majority introduces legislation
and sets the agenda for what legislation will be voted on. Meaning a piece of crap like this torture bill never even gets to the floor. That's why we need Democrats in office.

17. Yes, let's keep rewarding bad behaviour
It doesn't matter that the Dems have rolled over on the Patriot Act, bankruptcy bill, NSA wiretapping, judicial appointments, the IWR, military funding, tax breaks for the uber rich, etc. etc. ad nauseum. We still have to reward them with our vote because they have a D behind their name:eyes:

Sorry, any first year psych student, or parent for that matter, can tell you that if you reward bad behaviour, such behaviour will continue and actually grow worse. This not only applies to kids, but to adults and groups as well.

It is time we stopped rewarding bad behaviour and that our representatives stand up for what is right, moral and just.
