Alaska Democrats need your help...

The Diane Benson for Congress campaign http://www.bensonforcongress.com/ is working diligently to grab the attention of the DCCC (Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee) to help with Diane’s U.S. Congress race (to defeat sleazeball Don Young - my editorial comment). So, in this effort we have started a petition to show to the DCCC the true grassroots support that Diane has. I urge you all to support the Benson for Congress campaign and first of all SIGN THE PETITION and secondly, RECRUIT OTHERS TO SIGN.

If you are interested in helping us out, PM me, and I will e-mail you the petition form. When you get a page filled (or even with just your one signature, I would assume), please fax that page to: 907-279-5818 and then mail the original to our headquarters. Anyone can sign this petition, no matter what party affiliation they may have. If they support Diane and want to ensure that this campaign gains the attention of the National Party, have them sign the petition sheet or email us their information.

Feel free to pass this email on to your address lists. Our goal is to collect 5000 signatures by October 10th. I know that this seems like quite a bit, but by using the email avenue this will be quite easily accomplished. I urge the State Party to send this out to their lists as well as any other Democratic Clubs or Organizations. Also, we can collect petitions from outside Alaska, remember she is running for a federal office and there may be many outside of Alaska that want her in office and will support this petition drive.

Diane Benson is an excellent candidate, and Don Young needs to go. She has gathered quite a lot of grassroots support within the state, both Democratic and Republican, but could really use the assistance of the national party to get her message out. Please help by signing our petition.
