Are the Yahoo message boards worse than Free Republic?

If you have never clicked the discuss link at the end of virtually any Yahoo news article you have almost certainly seen rhetoric that seems even stupider and more extreme than much of what is on Free Republic. Sure there are progressives on their as well, but no doubt the freepers dominate.

Here is a link on the Keith Ellison race in Minneapolis if you don't believe me. For those who don't know Keith is a very progressive candidate who is virtually certain to be the first Muslim elected to Congress. I will warn you many of the posts you will see do certainly constitute hate speech.

Seriously they can get by with saying crap even more extreme than what is allowed on Free Republic, so the freepers go to Yahoo and really go insane. It is seriously frightening what is said on Yahoo.

Just follow that link I gave, while you can find some sick shit on Free Republic but they veil their racism and the mods will delete racist posts. The freepers go to Yahoo when they want to spread their white supremecist beliefs.

Don't think for a minute that the Yahoo boards are balanced. Sure there are progressives there but they are vastly outnumbered by the freepers. I think that most progressives who try to post there find out really quickly that those people aren't worth debating with because they are extremely racist, and extremely ignorant. You would be amazed at the number of nazis that frequent the Yahoo boards, and when I say nazis I mean literal nazis. I can virtually guarantee a number of them have swastikas hanging up in their home.

4. I used to only post on Yahoo BBs

And I'd be so angry by the time I got off the PC, my better half would make me go walk for about 30 minutes before I would settle down. I'm not sure if it's Freepers or just general A*holes who only like to be sarcastic and mean for no other reason than being mean.

Blacks, Immigrants, Gays and even Religion would get swamped and tread upon by any and all. No reason to anything they ssid, just ad hominems and stupidity. You'd think I'd been smarter to catch on more quickly, but no, I trief fighting the fight. Then found out there was no fighting to do, just blabber.

They will make you "batshit" crazy!! They're not even opposed to planning assassinations on that site. One time I alerted the Mods, 'cause some nut job was making really frightening threats! I'm so glad I'm here now. One poster from there that I really miss was "tall girl with guitar" She was cool, and I tried to persuade her to come on over here. Don't know if she did, because she probably would have changed her name. I don't miss it at all, and I would say it's definitely worse than "freeperville"!!! DC

7. The difference between Yahoo and Free Republic is simple..

The Freepers are the ones posting the filthy, nasty, obcentities on the Yahoo Message board because they know it's "anything goes"..

The other site that Yahoo has.. "Ask Yahoo" -- also has a lot of wacked out righties asking ridiculous questions in the political section, but they at least moderate it >>
