do you believe that they will win by slim margin (15-18) seats, or do you believe that they will win by a much larger margin (25-30+) seats?

2. Worried about the same thing here. I am aware of a self-congradulatory..

...certainty which reminds me of a certain rightious hubris in the 2004 elections. There is a certain 1,000-yard stare I have seen most Democrats acquire which implies that it's not only not over till the fat lady sings, it ain't over till two weeks after it's over.

  I sure as hell hope that we pick up the majority. Because if we don't, after yesterday, we're fucked. Not just Democrats, everyone in America. Fucked. Fucked like jumbo jets into buildings can't fuck you. Fucked like tearing up our own Constitution, something no terrorist can but only a legislator can do, fucked.

5. The validity of a poll can be judged by the questions it asks,

and how they are asked. There really should have been a choice for those who do not believe that the Democrats will win back the House. It ain't over til it's over. There are far too many Democrats who not only already have both houses of congress won, but they have Bush impeached, convicted, and on his way to The Hague for trial as a war criminal. If the Democrats do not retake either house, what whine goes with crow? Because the shrieks will be heard round the world: "We was robbed" again.

8. I did read the question.

It would have been better phrased, in my opinion, and more inclusive of all opinions if it had asked: "If the Democrats should win back the house, how many seats do you believe they would win?" In that case a valid choice would be that they would not win it back because that is as much of a part of the equation as how many seats they would retake the House by.

On the single most important issue facing the country we have no unified stance. That's a big problem.
