Classic Daily Show Video just uploaded to YouTube - December 13, 2000!
I just uploaded some Classic Daily Show Video to YouTube -- December 13, 2000!

December 13, 2000, if you forgot, was the FIRST Daily Show after the Bush v. Gore U.S. Supreme Court decision was handed down. Unfortunately, I taped over the first 30 seconds or so, but 99% of the show IS there in 5 parts. Parts 2 and 4 are Excellent rants/riffs from Stephen Colbert too!

Here are the links:

Plus, I just this week uploaded several 2004 and a Great clip from 2002 from when the SCOTUS ruled that states can't execute Retarded people!

You'll find all those at my YouTube Channel at this link:

2. Oh, thank you!
You tube has been my savior for finding footage referred to on DU. I've come to think of it as an important resource for free speech.

4. Thank you so much! I still remember this.
As I recall it was very dark and bitter in tone, or perhaps it was just me!:D

A great find!

5. Oh yes, just 7 minutes into the first clip
and the sharp and damning dark bitterness is fully in evidence.

Kick.

9. Thanks, I think my favorite comment during this show was from Nancy Walls
...when she said, "...or maybe it was September 5th, 1971, when Al entered Vanderbilt Divinity School, when he first embraced the concept that God delivers JUSTICE here on Earth, HUGH MISTAKE!!!"

I hope you did check out the December 14, 2000 show too, you can actually see the shock turning into anger on that show.

7. "...girlishly giggling, idiot emperor..."
Colbert's clip on that Dec 13 show is something else.

8. How scary...while funny, and we were all laughing while aprehensive, we
all (including Colbert, Stewart et al) made fun of Bush and what was to come and yet none of us, could have known that the jokes actually would come true or that things would be much, much, much worse than anything we predicted....

PS: Loved when Jon Stewart played the clip of Bush's acceptance speech for being elected (after the Supremes appointed him) and Stewart said how Bush was "not elected"....

10. If you really want to see that making fun of Bush stuff, you should see...
...these from Election Night 2000 (November 7, 2000) and the 25th hour show (November 8, 2000), which someone else recently uploaded. I think I had trouble with my VCR and had missed this one.

Here's the links to the Election Night show:
