Poll Shows Kerry Leading In Virginia, Edwards Second

Richmond (AP) - Democratic presidential front-runner John Kerry (website - news - bio) of Massachusetts is also getting the most support among voters in Virginia, a new poll conducted in the week leading up to next Tuesday's state presidential primary shows.

The poll conducted for several news organizations in Virginia by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research shows Kerry with the support of 34 percent of respondents, giving him a statistical lead over North Carolina Senator John Edwards, who had 25 percent.

Former Army Gen. Wesley Clark (website - news - bio) is third with 14 percent of the support while 13 percent were undecided. The poll has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
