And I find it absolutely amazing. It's becoming very clear that he's simply not a leader. He was an outstanding lutenient to President Clinton, but on his own, he's lost.

Look at what happened...

He endorsed Dean and Dean went into his slide. I'm not saying it was Gore's fault, but if he would have just waited two weeks, he would have witnessed the slide and could have saved face. Thus my "Instincts" comment.

I think it's pretty clear what Gore was trying to do...

It looked like Dean had the nomination wraped-up so Gore went with him. I am of the opinion that Dean would have been CRUSHED in the general election (Thank GOD he melted-down BEFORE he won the election) and Gore knew this as well. He aligned with Dean so he could be on the same team that wrestled the DNC away from the Clintons...Thus setting himself up for 2008.

Gore is politically dead now. Win or lose, Kerry will keep the DNC in the hands of the Clinton friendly. And should Kerry lose in 2004, those people will beat Gore over the head with his endorcement of Dean. Yes...Gore is most certainly finished now.
