CNN vs. AP?

3. Differnt # of precincts reporting

At the time I clicked on links, CNN had 32% of precincts, AP about 21%.

AP is ahead of the reporting, which explains the difference.

Kucinich has 551. With CNN at 32% Kucinich has 283.

They must be counting different precincts. That seems peculiar to me.

Wouldn't the precincts report to a central authority when they're done? Then the results would be reported to the media.

It looks like precincts are finishing and reporting to CNN or the AP.

Same percent as CNN now, but different vote totals.

32% both side but CNN gives Kerry 6% and more worrying CNN takes like 200 votes from Kucinich.
