and. . a. and. . . .

okay folks, the head scratcher for the day (or the laugh, whichever you want)

from a real kool-ade drinker on another board, our exchange today:

(KKKOOL-ADE)Bush has done many stupid things but a time table for military action will be the stupidest yet.No one wants the Iraqis to step up to the plate for than I do.I do not like the idea of nation-building(Especially in non-western nations)But any military man worth a grain of salt will tell you that setting time tables in war is the worse thing you can do militarily speaking.

(me)
the NUMBER today is 2800. 90 of our military have lost their lives so far THIS MONTH. how many more is acceptable to you before we withdraw, announced or secretly, from this unjust, illegal, immoral war based on LIES.

and, still waiting for your answer to what, in your mind, constitutes torture.

(KKKOOL-ADE) We lost 9,000 troops in the 1st day of D-Day invasion.Should we had withdrawn our troops from world war 2 before getting Hitler? We lost thousands of troops in the 1st battle of the civil war should we have allow slavery after that?

Torture is inflicting great psysical or psychological pain on a person. But each person is different. What may be great pain to some may not be for others. If these terrorists continues to attack those who are guarding them then something has to be done.

And sadly sometimes fire must be fought with fire.Recently even Bill Clinton has admitted this.

(at this point, I had to pour a drink)

comments? there are days I truly try to ignore this person, but sometimes. . . .

1. "guarding them"?
Why are you even spending any of your energy on this headcase?

2. most of the time I ignore him, but there are times when he is so
appallingly, egregiously stupid that I want to shake him until his teeth rattle, in the, so far, vain hope that SOMETHING will sink in. I know. I know. . . .
